Mission to Jamaica

Veronica’s Way traveled to Jamaica for its second Mission’s trip in two years. After a successful trip to Haiti. We wanted to double the number of computers that were donated. So, for Mission to Jamaica, we donated 85 computers to several educational institutions. With the help of the Youth Crime Watch of Jamaica and the University of West Indies, Veronica’s Way was able to provide computer labs to a community center, a non-profit, and schools in three different parishes in Jamaica. Our travel team consisted of Nicole Sharpe, Tamera Jordan, Napoleon Metelus, Larry Goodin, Gerold Picard, Lynn Casimir, Tracey Coleman, and Crispin Booker

Jamaica was a truly unique experience for Veronica’s Way. It was the first time we donated so many PCs at one time but we were blessed to have so many helping hands to complete this task said, Crispin. We were greeted with wonderful presentations from each institution. Showcasing Jamaican culture including the student’s love and the faculty’s excitement for their new lab. We now have labs at the Youth Crime Watch of Jamaica, Rural Family Center, Glenmuir High School, Marlie Mount Primary, Grace Bishop Basic, and Little Angels.

I am happy to report the students are excelling well with their new lab.
